First review on Revolt!

Yay, my first review is up on the Revolt-Media webpage. I've got three more reviews coming in the next few weeks too...Check out my review of Wolfmother here. I was quite pleased, my editor was very happy with it and it only needed one or two minor changes. Woo hoo!

I've been enjoying the long weekend despite the fact that I have a Media Law exam on Wednesday (boo, hiss). Went out to the Prickley Pear with some friends, got a great sidewalk table where we sat and drank margaritas till they kicked us out. Ended up VERY hungover yesterday, but it was worth it:) Apparently my tolerance for tequila isn't quite as great as I thought. Oh well.

Too bad I've got to go back to work tomorrow. Oh, and just because I'm totally geeked about these, check out the fun shoes I got at DSW yesterday:

Hah, hah, I love em. They crack me up.
Well, off to enjoy what's left of the three day weekend!
Ciao,S

Dang- I need to read your blog more often! I'm 3 posts behind! Ok... So first off- congrats on the review for Revolt-media! Totally cool- I even went to the Wolfmother website and listened to their music for a few minutes. Too cool! Definitely fun shoes- you should start walking around going: "Arrrrrrrr". Or maybe you already do.... or maybe thats me. Hey- did you ever go on that blind date that your co-worker was goign to set you up on?

Jessica and I are totally up for a party/bbq! That would be awesome! Ok... so let me let you know about my schedule in advance.... I'll assume we're shooting for a weekend here, but just in case: Mondays are out. Tues-Thurs can be ok, but Jess needs to know about it at least 1.5 weeks in advance because she often works evenings. Now specifics:
We're busy this Fri till 5pm, Saturday till 1pm, Sun the 4th from 4-6pm.
After that, I know I'm busy Fri the 16th- all evening.

Short of that, here are my ideas:
On a Friday: TGIF BBQ/Party - everyone is required to bring a story about work or a co-worker that at least 1/2 the party hasn't heard. Food could be somehow related to what you do... so if you were a Professional musician, perhaps you bring a guitar shaped cake, or maybe some chips and "black sabbath" bean dip.... i dunno- could be fun.

Or hey- it could be a music party- everyone could bring a food that somehow relates to their favorite band/song- maybe for Shakira, you make "Whenever, Wherever" waffles. Or same thing but do it for a movie- if your favorite food was the lord of the rings, maybe you bring roasted Orc, or lemba (elf bread)....

Or it could be a mexican theme, and everyone brings some sort of southwestern food... or a hawaiian theme....

Those are my ideas. I'm out!

Yes, I meant to comment on the party post, as well! I like Ben's food-theme association music/storytelling thing. Fun!
